First impressions of the Madone

I just came back from a 20 mile ride on the new Madone. Our guest rider was Armstrong and I had an opportunity to chat with him as we rode along. One of the perks about riding with Lance, a full police escort with them stopping traffic as we occupied the whole highway. I'll post about that later.

The bike, as expected, rode nice. It's a stable platform and handles nice. Admittedly we didn't tear around any turns, or drop down the side of a mountain. We did do a little bit of climbing, and out of the saddle the bike jumps. I'm guessing that's due to the 90mm bb.

Got to run...we're going to the Trek factory for a tour.

I hope you asked Trek why they moved their carbon production to Giant for this bike.

They didn't, dumba$$. All OCLV carbon is manufactured in Waterloo, Wisconsin. Always has been.

Nice lines.

I am not a fan of the new style of seat posts that need cut. I assume by looking that this is sort of a cross between that and a traditional post?
